1. Project Overview & Aesthetic Intent

Gleamix required a digital presence that mirrored the high-precision clarity and luxury of their handcrafted jewelry. Traditional storefront templates suffer from massive Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) when loading image-rich collection grids, resulting in sub-optimal mobile layouts. By developing their theme from a clean slate, CYPHEX locked aspect coordinates and optimized asset sizes.

2. Engineering Implementations

The storefront includes custom elements prioritizing speed:

  • Aspect Lock Layouts: Set exact sizing attributes on collection and product graphics, slashing CLS down to an imperceptible 0.01.
  • SVG Icon sets: Eliminated heavy web font loading requests by compiling all UI vectors into native, inline SVG shapes.
  • Font Subsetting: Stripped redundant characters from premium font files, reducing font assets footprint from 380KB to just 22KB.
  • Frictionless Cart Drawers: Vanilla JS checkout triggers that load instantly without heavy jQuery dependencies.
