1. Concept & Scalability Challenge
Al-Bazaar Store required a digital catalog to aggregate thousands of active products across fashion, home, and accessory categories. Stock Shopify layouts become sluggish with large catalogs due to massive DOM sizes and recursive SQL collection lookups. The mandate was to build a clean-slate Shopify theme delivering immediate page changes.
2. Architectural Execution
CYPHEX designed the catalog with strict performance boundaries:
- Asynchronous Grid Rendering: Paginated product loops render via dynamic AJAX calls, reducing first content paint requirements.
- Decoupled Sidebar Filters: Built a custom sidebar navigation widget querying Shopify collections dynamically with minimal script weight.
- Lazy Load Boundaries: Placed strict offscreen loading rules on product card elements to prevent layout shifting.
- Optimized checkout triggers: Injected micro-conversions hooks to track dynamic add-to-carts smoothly.
